Payments
Stripe processes the payments. We provide the software.
Stripe is the processor and underwriter. Every merchant connects their own Stripe account through Stripe Connect Onboarding, stays the merchant of record, and receives Stripe's normal payouts.
Who does what
- Stripe
- Processes card payments, underwrites merchant accounts, and pays out funds.
- You, the merchant
- Merchant of record. You hold the Stripe account and are responsible for your sales, refunds and disputes.
- PSXPay
- Provides compliance software and collects its application fee and subscription.
What PSXPay is not
- A payment processor
- A money transmitter
- A bank
- A registered payment facilitator
We never hold merchant funds
Buyer payments are charged on your Stripe account and stay there. The only money that reaches us is our own application fee, which Stripe deducts from each charge, and our monitoring subscription. We don't redirect, delay or reserve your payouts.
Stripe's terms and fees apply
Your use of Stripe is governed by your agreement with Stripe, and Stripe's own fees apply. How they combine with ours is set out on the pricing page.
What we share with Stripe
Under the Platform Agreement, merchants consent to our sharing scan results and attestation logs with Stripe, its acquiring banks and the card networks. We stop charging application fees on new charges once you disconnect your Stripe account, which you can do at any time.
